My brother is the real authority on moths who I consult when confounded. He says my micro is a scoparia ambigualis. These micros are a whole new world to me with countless slight variations. Some are only identifiable by dissection of their genitalia. This is obviously beyond my basic moth dabbling. They light up my life and the buzz of seeing a new one gives me a natural high that lasts for up to three days. I have a moth identification app but it’s through looking at the books that provides most learning.
