bath gas silos

I have endeavoured to get some good shots of the final three gas silos in Bath. there is one listed in leeds and a horribly decorated one in london that hads been allocated listed building status. These three are / were some of the finet examples in the country but Bath , whilst having a beauty beyond compare, also had three of the finest examples left in the south of england. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The final complete silo had a straight ladder leading to its top and alsi a zig zag route to the top. The fence, 7 foot with the three prong spikes at the top, easily overcome with a laddetr, a block poeg fence and trhen e were in. the rising silo proviuded the inner hand rail when the beast was in opperation, the top rail a singlre hanbd rail and a 12 inch platform for us to circumnavigate the great cicle. I could only look outward and holods on tight.
fascinating structure thatsurely could have been made in to something new.
