Greeces' return to Barter

Following the economic collapse in Greece there has been a return to the bartering system. This is clearly terrifying for anyone who does a job requiring the complex set of rules we have developed. However, the original reason I chose to get good at making things was down to a belief that society as we know it would, one day crumble. This may still happen and all that worrying and cock weazling around in suits will be no help.
The ability to build a shack has value in the most basic of human settings. Being able to finely craft luxury objects can too keep one busy in over abundant societies.
But how will those who have spent their lives in obscure public sector posts fare? Perhaps it was inevitable that heavy weight public sector government would fail. There is clearly a tipping point when all the wealth through tax created by the private sector can not support the expense of the public sector. Much as we like teachers, doctors, social workers, and any civilised society should, there is no possibility of creating other obscure and beaurocatic titles we have come to accept as normal.
As a youth I could not see the polar points of politics were socialism and anarchy. Taxation is among our greatest ideas. Hearing Conservatives state that 'no one likes paying taxes' is laughable. If we follow their thinking and abandon tax we come to have all money float to the top and see society paralised. It is the lack of financial fluidity that is the problem now. It is essential to tax and redistriubte. This liberates us to enjoy communal benefits such as education, healthcare, pensions, security and law and order that would go beyond the means of 9% of us.
