Late Spring Sanity

Seasonally affected disorder renders our dark, murky winters a trial for many. When in Gambia I met Swedes who had mid winter breaks prescribed by doctors. Their fair skin bouncing rays off
muesli tight midrifs. Summer with the intense heat and abundance of purposeless bodies out en mass has a horrific tense chaos. There is never a riot on a rainy evening. Autumn sees the year spiral off in to a tortured death sprawl, surely the most psychotic of seasons.
So late spring, when birds are nesting, noghts are still cool enough to sleep must be the season for the best of mental health.
