Was it the legalisation of homosexuallity? the end of cottaging that started the closure of public toilets? They stand, empty, boarded up whilst folk piss in corners. Men stand round darkened spots, piss artists painting ground murals. Girls crouch with a friend on lookout. Yet these buildings still stand. Not converted in to small occupation domiciles. Paused; waiting till public funding or a change in culture reappraises their necessity.![]()
