Andrea Dunbar 4 - Please scroll down and read parts 1 to 4 in sequence

Lorraine was heavily bullied, told by her mother she couldnt be loved as much as her siblings for being mixed race. After Dunbars death Lorraine spiralled down in to drug use and prostitution. Her baby son, Harris, died after swallowing a bottle of his mothers methadone.

Lip sinking is used in Barnards film to maintain a sense of people speaking at one remove.

The residents of the estate assemble for the viewing at Bradfords National Media Museum to view the edit. It is a stange mix of verbatim transcript and autobiographical drama that creates an echo chamber of conflicting voices from Dunbars life and art. A hush descends when the voice of Lorraine whose resentment to her mother remains palpable. Applause, Tears.
All went well, fears of Lorraines bitterness at her mother not going down well with the legend of her mother blend in to the confused voice of the whole project. What was strongest for me was Lorraines articulacy.
Genius is a blessing and a curse.
