Leeds beat Cas in semi

Phew! Well it could just as easily gone the other way as Castleford put in a mighty defensive performance as did Leeds in this low scoring game. Leeds were under the cosh for much of the game, particularly in the first half where neither team buckled in the defensive arm wrestle. Not a game for the casual viewer as forwards dominated. Leeds central triangle of Sinfield, Burrow and McGuire never clicked in to gear. The team as a whole played as individuals. At full time there was nothing between the teams at 8 all. The golden point came from a penalty from a high tackle that Sinfield kicked. here was no celebration as we saw from the other finalists Wigan yesterday. Exhaustion? or respect and the knowledge that it could have easily been Cas.
