Respectacles

I have just started with my first pair of glasses.
Spectacles-respectacles-glasses-through a glass darkly.
I once wrote a PHD proposal about seeing through glass. It was largely about how we percieve the world through screens.Windscreens,television-screens,computer-screens.It was a while ago so i cant remember it to well but i recall it touched on Deafness and Touch.It was about the object and distance from reality.The pieces i made to support whatever i was on about were the final 'Natural-History' pieces,a name,unfortunateley Damien Hirst had already appropriated.
Mine were Rose-srems in a box-frame with glass-sheets either side of various shapes and sizes,usually about 3-inches deep.I also made cabinets with Double-glazed-doors,one had Daisy-Heads,one Green-Lychem,one yellow Lychem and a pair of cabinets where the double-glazing held the Grasses and Wildflowers.They all sold but i doubt for the reason i made them to illustrate.I think it was about how we appear to be heading towards a Two-dimensional view of reality.      

When you think about it my Graffiti-argument connects.The man-hole-cover,the paint-flaked-drainpipe that flows to drain cover that flowering-weeds grow around overlooked as flat,dull,uninspired spray-painting spoils our tentative hold on a true,three-dimensional experience as we walk the streets.
