Batenburg Cake made of bricks for the 4th Trafalger square plinth is in the shortlist. Clearly a work inspired by the work of the artist Michael Wainwright it should raise the bar after Gormley ran scared and abandoned the plinth to any passing human, a clear admission of his loss of ideas. We all bite cake however Griffiths derivative work is clear plaguerism. The work looks good but why isn't Michael Wainwright on the shortlist. Get the real man in, not some mimic. Fear of an Art too powerful for open public consumption can be the sole reason. Vehicles would crash, pedsetrians freeze in awe. Wainwright for next 4th plinth work.
