Yesterday Belfast saw the funeral of the greatest snooker player ever to grace the green baize. Alex Hurricane Higgins. 500 gathered to say thier goodbyes to a character the like of which we may never see again. Alex died in poverty yet his funeral was peppered with celebrities from all fields of culture. A tear trickled down, pall barer Jimmy Whites cheek as he carried his friend and hero to the grave.
Not wishing to cloud matters, another funeral was taking place over in Newcastle for sick murder legend Raoul Moat. Strangly, his story caught the public imagination to such a degree that his facebook tribute page amassed 30,000 members before it was taken down after just 6 days. Another is now up for interested parties to post comment. The 18 stone hulk was laid to rest, his ashes to be cast in to waters at a private later date, as macabre journalists sough to mix with friends and family in private grief. Farewell to the gun crazed evil hero, the sick legend Raoul Moat. The peoples murderer.
